Individual foods can contain hundreds, even thousands, of nutrients that contribute to our health. Not all of these nutrients or other substances have been identified, however, and so eating from a wide variety of foods helps to ensure that you get all of the disease-fighting and health-promoting components that food offers. The universe has set the table with an abundance of beautiful, flavorful, and beneficial foods. It’s our job to eat them! |
