About
Your district has established a Safety/Loss Control Program to provide commonsense, safe work practices, and regulations for the protection of every employee. The purpose of this online training is to acquaint you with the general safety rules and policies of your school district, which match federal, state and local safety codes and regulations, and are designed to allow you to do your job safely and efficiently.
Unfortunately, written rules and guidelines alone cannot guarantee an injury-free work environment. The most important injury-prevention measure lies with every employee performing his/her job in the safest possible manner. Employers and employees must recognize their legal as well as moral obligation to comply with all occupational safety and health regulations and standards that apply to their own specific job assignments.
Three General Safety Rules that must always
be followed are:
Never use potentially dangerous equipment unless you’ve received proper training.
Identify and report hazardous conditions.
If you can’t correct a hazard yourself, report it immediately so appropriate measures can be taken.
